The Nile River, the longest river in the world, called the father of African rivers. It rises south of the Equator and flows northward through northeastern Africa to drain into the Mediterranean Sea. It has a length of about 4,132 miles (6,650 kilometres) and drains an area estimated at 1,293,000 square miles (3,349,000 square kilometres). Its basin includes parts of Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Sudan, and the cultivated part of Egypt. Its most distant source is the Kagera River in Burundi.

Day 1 

Depart USA

Day 2 

Arrive in Cairo and meet and greet at the airport - transfer to hotel and day at leisure or explore

Day 3 

Cairo - Breakfast at the hotel - and Morning tour visit the Iconic citadel of Celandine and the Mosque of Mohammed, visit the Market, and wander through the world's oldest marketplace dating back to 1382. Lunch included at a local restaurant - Afternoon at leisure

Day 4 

Cairo - Breakfast at hotel - Morning tour to the grand Egyptian Museum to see the treasures of Tutankhamen and Egyptian artifacts covering 5000 years of history,

Lunch included - depart for the Giza Plateau and witness one of the wonders of the ancient world - the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx - representing the essence of Egypt.

Day 5 

Cairo/Luxor breakfast included at the hotel – depart for early morning flight from Cairo to Luxor founded in 1400 BC - upon arrival explore the temples – 2 grandiose seated statues greet you upon entering the Luxor site complex one of the best ancient sites in the world. Embarkation begins after the tour for the Nile Cruise - relaxing lunch on board 

Afternoon visit to Papyrus Institute Dinner included on board

Day 6 

Luxor / Edfu - breakfast on board (Optional hot air balloon ride in the  early morning you can sign up on board approx. $230 pp) After breakfast - today's excursion is the Valley of the Kings (included) Hieroglyphics. King Tut’s Tomb. back to ship - sail to Edfu on the west bank of the river Lunch  & Dinner

Day 7 

Edfu /Kom Ombo - breakfast on board visit the Temple of Horus the falcon-headed God - the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt

Afternoon sail to Kom Ombo - pleasant agricultural town - cooking class on board ship sails to Aswan relax on board Dinner on board.

Day 8 

Aswan - breakfast on board tour to Temple of Philae - Lunch on board and scenic Felucca ride on the Nile (boat with sails) enjoy the stunning views of the Nile, Dinner on board. Aswan/ Abu Simbel - disembark the vessel and transfer to Aswan airport for the short flight * to Abu Simbel for a visit to the UNESCO world heritage site the Nubian monuments - and the large temple Light lunch at the airport - reboard the flight to Cairo, farewell dinner hosted at the airport.

Day 10 Breakfast at the hotel and bus transfer to the Cairo airport

Included: 21 meals (8 breakfasts 7 lunches 6 dinners) and 3 nights in Cairo local English-speaking Egyptologist on the tour

4-night cruise on the Nile River aboard the Jaz Regent, shore excursions in ports of call.

Airline seats and Lodging may be dropped up to 90 days before departure with a $150 penalty.

Between 159 and 90 days a $300. cancellation fee will be charged. 

Between 89 – 60 days $500 cancellation fee, and 59 days before departure date the trip is non-refundable.
Name changes as they appear on Government IDs are due 90 days before Departure.
In addition to the above fees name changes received within 85 days of departure are subject to a $150 fee per person.
